Follow the Recipe

Have you ever tried to bake bread without a recipe? Unless you have lots of experience baking, it comes out a heck of a lot better when you follow a recipe.

That’s the way baking is – a relatively precise combination of ingredients that react in a beautiful way when introduced to heat. Sure, there is lots of room for creativity. You can add raisins, nuts, or even caramelized onions – but the basics remain the same: flour, water, salt, yeast.

The same can be said for developing a business. You can be creative on what service or product you’re offering to the world, but the steps on how to build a brand, how to generate revenue, and how to interact with your customers follow a formula.
